Terrier II SP-960

Terrier II
(SP-960: l. 40', b. 9'; dr. 5'7" (forward); s. 22 mph.
cpl. 9; a. 1 1-pdr., 1 mg.)

The second Terrier (SP-960)—a motorboat built by the Great Lakes Boat Building Corp.—was placed in commission on 1 June 1917, although the Navy did not formally acquire her from Mr. Paul Armstrong of Chicago, Ill., until 19 July 1917. Assigned to the 9th Naval District, Terrier patrolled the waters of Lake Michigan through the end of World War I. On 10 March 1919, she was returned to her owner, and her name was struck from the Navy list.
