Reyner and Son (SP-869), a motor vessel used for light freight service prior to American entry into World War I, was built in 1916 by W. F. Dunn, Portsmouth, Va., nurehased by the Navy in January 1918 from J. Reyner & Son, Newport News, Va.; and placed in service on 11 January 1918. On the Navy list for litMe over a year and a half, Reynor and Son operated solely in the 5th Naval District. Her name was struck from the list in August 1919.
